With respect to Report No. 2011CLS.032 (Realty Services), we recommend that the properties and easement interests described in this Report be declared surplus to the City's requirements pursuant to the City’s policies, and be disposed of in accordance with the methods set out in this Report;
AND THAT public notice of the proposed disposals be given in the manner set out in Report No 2011CLS.032;
AND THAT the City's interest in the vacant lands (A74) described as Part of Park Lot 1, Town Plot of Fort William, Designated as Part 2 on Reference Plan 55R-2200, be sold to the abutting property owner of 730 South Syndicate Avenue (Willhac Inc.) for lot enlargement purposes at the appraised market value ($9,234.00);
AND THAT a portion of the City’s easement interest in the property municipally known as 101 Spruce Court, described as Lot 3, Plan M-119, (B13), be released;
AND THAT the City's interest in the untravelled portion of Wiegand Avenue (C154) adjacent to Lot 50 and 62 and Part of Lane, Registered Plan W426, municipally known as 493 and 601 North Marks St., (once closed) be sold on the open market at fair market value;
AND THAT the City's interest in the Lane (D42) abutting Lots 10 to 22 and Lots 200 to 212, Registered Plan M-37, municipally known as 19 - 43 Picton Avenue and 18 - 42 Junot Avenue, be sold (once closed) to the abutting property owners for lot enlargement purposes at the appraised market value;
AND THAT the City's interest in the vacant property being a portion of Lot 14, Block A, Registered Plan 579, municipally known as 211 Elgin Street (E62), be sold on the open market at fair market value;
AND THAT the City's interest in the vacant property described as Block 65, Registered Plan 55M-618 (G22), being the 1 foot reserve south of Weiler Boulevard on the north side of the property known as 101 Reindeer Avenue, be sold to the abutting property owner of 101 Reindeer Avenue (Gordon Furoy) for lot enlargement and access purposes at fair market value;
AND THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute all required documentation in form and content satisfactory to the City Solicitor;
AND THAT any necessary by-laws be presented to Council for ratification.
