Potential Land Sale

Report No. 2012CLS.018 (Realty Services) relative to the above noted, was previously presented at the Special Committee of the Whole (Closed Session) meeting held on April 23, 2012.

With respect to Report No. 2012CLS.018 (Realty Services), we recommend that the surplus property municipally known as 951 Carrick Street and described as Part of Plan M-42, Part of 12th Avenue Closed, and Part of Lane, Plan M-42, be sold to Badanai Holdings Ltd. for the sum of $200,000.00;

Surplus Real Property Declaration - 7 Locations

Report No. 2012CLS.015 (Realty Services) relative to the above noted, was previously presented at the Special Committee of the Whole (Closed Session) meeting held on April 23, 2012.


With respect to Report No. 2012CLS.015 (Realty Services), we recommend that the properties and easement interests described in this Report be declared surplus to the City's requirements pursuant to the City's policies, and be disposed of in accordance with the method set out in this Report;

Report No. 2012.062 (Engineering) recommending that Contract No. 2, 2012 for Sidewalks, Street Lighting and Traffic Signal Installation be awarded to Bay City Contractors (Thunder Bay) Inc., which submitted the lowest tender in the amount of $1,038,744.59 (inclusive of HST). (Pages 31 - 38)

Report No. 2012.074 (Construction/ Renovation Services) recommending that the negotiated method of procurement as outlined in Sections 4.08 and 4.09 of the Supply Management By-law No. 113-2011 be accepted to obtain professional services for the development and administration of contract documents associated with the Phase 2 Terracotta repairs at the Whalen Building from KGS Group Consulting Engineers in the amount of $160,430.00 (including contingency and HST rebate). Report No. 2012.077 (Transit) recommending that Council endorse the Transit Vision 2040 as developed by the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA), including its 6 Focus Areas and 27 Strategic Directions as identified in Attachment A and that Administration work to align the future vision of public transit services with Transit Vision 2040 and endeavor to reach or exceed performance targets outlined in the Vision.
