City of Thunder Bay Declared Emergency

Mr. Tim Commisso, City Manager will provide an update relative to the status of the declared emergency of the flooding disaster in the City of Thunder Bay.

Ontario Disaster Relief Assistance Program (ODRAP)

Memorandum from Mr. Tim Commisso, City Manager dated May 30, 2012 relative to presenting the following resolution. (Pages 1 - 2)

With respect to the recently experienced storm event of May 27-28, 2012 The City of Thunder Bay has experienced substantial damage to municipal property and infrastructure and has received reported losses of private damage, the council of The City of Thunder Bay hereby requests the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to declare The City of Thunder Bay a “disaster area” for the purposes of the Ontario Disaster Relief Assistance Program (ODRAP);
